Instructional design
Instructional design sits at the heart of what we do. At blueU we consider ourselves first and foremost trainers who are committed to ensuring that the training we produce is fit for purpose but also best of breed. Instructional designers make a real commitment to all of the customers they work with to make sure that when the e-learning is deployed it fulfils the needs of the whole learning community.
Development methodology
Our robust development methodology is based on Rapid Application Development (RAD), using Joint Application Development (JAD). This ensures we consistently have complete agreement with our clients on what it is we're developing. We eliminate project creep and are proud of our record of delivering to schedule.
Development expertise
We use templating technology, based around template tool kit to develop top quality courseware of a consistently high standard. We can develop AICC and ADL/SCORM compliant material and have worked on integration projects with SABA, Docent, Ingenium, my Smartforce, Lotus Learning Space and WebCT LMS's. Where accessibility is an issue we work to 508 accessibility standards and have on occasion included representatives of bodies such as RNIB in project teams. We always discuss the pros and cons of standards to help clients make decisions that are right for them.
Creativity
We recognise that training is a serious business, but know that it can be fun too. A training experience that is memorable and enjoyable will enable learners to quickly absorb and apply the learning points in a real setting. We develop engaging training solutions to motivate learners and offer clients a range of interactive solutions, with opportunities for creative 'play'.
Consultative style of working
We form close consultative working relationships with our clients and are always ready and willing to help out. We understand that the development of effective learning is a creative process that is dependent on the skill and expertise of a number of people from both the client organisation and blueU working as a team.
